Open Call for Participation:
I am working on - a cookbook for Chinese adoptees (no title yet but I am open to suggestions). This is a "conceptual" cookbook open to but not limited to poetry, recipes, stories, and anything else you'd like to share.
Over the past year, I've been focusing on the zodiac as a point of reference in to Chinese culture in my work; as well as trying to improve my Asian cooking skills and knowledge. This November, I will be curating a show at Da Vinci Art Alliance in Philly of fellow adoptees Eva Fahey and Katie Mongoven's work that will coincide with the release of this cookbook release and a potluck using the dinnerware set I've been creating.
I plan on risograph printing the cookbook in my studio in Philadelphia - which is a process that is most similar to screenprinting and xeroxing for anyone who may be unfamiliar.
If you're interested in contributing - please let me know directly via email and I can send along more info ie. the specs and printing details. Each artist would be allotted 2-4 pages in the final cookbook and I would love to have designs on hand by the end of July so I can focus on printing/producing in August and September.
